Banana exports from Peru on a downward trend

Between January and October 2023, Peruvian banana exports showed a decline, if compared to the same lapse in 2022, according to Agrodata Perú.

 

During the initial 10 months of the ongoing year, the country exported 124.141.058 kilos of the fruit, worth $94.142.946.

 

In the same term of 2022, Peru shipped 147.361.351 kilos of bananas, for a total value of $114.952.720.

 

The main recipients until October 2023 were the Netherlands ($28.647.000), the United States ($12.034.000), and Panama ($11.847.000), among others.
