Printable version
The episodes of frost in April and then in some areas of intense rains and strong winds, had a considerable impact on production, which is estimated to be the lowest for at least 46 years.

A recent Agreste Conjoncture report, from the Ministry of Agriculture, indicates that the production of cherries in 2021 should only reach 16,000 tonnes, i.e. a variation of -55% compared to 2020 and also -55% compared to the last 5 years.

According to the report, all production regions are affected with variations of -22% in Occitanie, -70% in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, -57% in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, compared to last year.

In France, this year would be the lowest production for at least 46 years.
