New export opportunities for agricultural products from the Philippines with this agreement with China for USD 1 billion. The agreement aims to increase imports into China of Philippine agricultural products.

 
 
 
This agreement concerns various agricultural products including durian, avocado, banana, pineapple, coconut, mango, dragon fruit, mangosteen.
 
 
 
The increase in production needed for these exports will help boost the Philippines' agricultural sector, which has been able to overcome the impact of the latest natural disasters.
 
 
 
Agricultural and agri-food products, representing 7.2% of the country's total exports, recorded excellent results. In the fourth quarter of last year, agricultural exports increased by 42.2% in value reaching 1.03 billion USD.
