Citrus exportation campaign launched by Trade Ministery

In the last 5 years, citrus production in Tunisia has increased by 5,1%, exportations by 6,4% and sales by 9%.

These encouraging results have brought citrus in the 5th position among the best agricultural produce exported, after olive oil, dates, seafood and summer fruit.

Mr Ben Mosbah, trade Ministery presided a meeting for citrus export campaign launching. He congratulated the different actors for these good results and encourage them to continue the efficient coordination they set up. This will undoubtIy increase Tunisia competitivity on the foreign markets.

The Ministery recognised the key factors that enabled such good results: set up a quality platform, procedures respect, traçability, and advertising campaign to better sell the produce.

He then, asked more efforts and common work to set up an IT network or a unit to organize the different steps necessary for exportation.
